My name is Met Haynes, As you can see this is how I came up with Haynes Custom Iron. I have been building motorcyles for about 5 years now. I started my first project at the last machine shop I worked at.

As time went on, I was looking for someone to help with the finish work, engine work and what not. I happend to come across a shop in Santa Fe, NM, whom I was going to pay to finish my chopper. Turns out, I befriended the guy who owned the shop, I traded some machining for picking his brain, to make a long story short, I ended up working at this shop and finished my own chopper in his shop. During the short time I was working there, keep in mind I was only working for him part time, I helped with a majority of the bike building, doing all the machine work, fabrication, at the same time learning about vtwin engines and the mechanics of building choppers. The bikes I built for Jesse, were one of a kind, so I was able to use my own creativity, at the same time work with the customers and their own ideas.
Now it's 2008 and I have been in business for amost a year now. I decided its time to do what I really have a passion for. The current and first project I am working on now for the business was started in October of 2007, it is still in the mock up stages but is almost ready for paint, and final assembly. Look for me at ARIZONA BIKE April 2-6, 2008, as this will be my first booth at a bike run.
